Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has demanded more from Kevin De Bruyne ahead of their Champions League tie with RB Leipzig.

De Bruyne currently tops the Premier League’s assists chart with 12.

However, the Belgian has found himself in and out of Guardiola’s squad since he returned from the World Cup.

De Bruyne was left on the bench for three of the last seven league fixtures and taken off early in the 2-0 win over Newcastle United earlier this month.

“Kevin has an ability to do it. He has an incredible ability to make an assist, to score goals and see passes like no one else.

“But I always have belief they will increase and will get better when the simple things, like don’t lose the ball, the mobility, the incredible capacity to be active in the movement, the simple things, do it again better and better,” Guardiola told a press conference on Monday.

De Bruyne was ill for the first leg against Leipzig in Germany which ended 1-1.
