Commander, 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brig.-Gen. Nsikak Edet, has charged both the military and civilians to continue to work together towards the peace and unity of the nation.

He made the call on Saturday during the Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons held at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Barracks, 14 Brigade Nigerian Army Ohafia, in Abia state.

Edet, who was represented by the Brigade’s Chief of Staff, Lt.- Col. John Timbuak, tasked Nigerians to continue to maintain peace and build trust, irrespective of of ethnic or religious affiliations.

He described the carol as a time of reflection, thanksgiving and looking forward to what the next year holds.

“It also helps us to aspire not just to be religious, but also righteous people.

“Therefore, in the spirit this season let us consider ways that we can help one and another and for the peace and unity of our dear nation,” he said.
