Samuel Chukwueze won’t be a part of the squad of the senior national team of Nigeria when they begin their 2026 world cup qualifiers campaign in November, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Chukwueze was part of the Super Eagles team that recently engaged Saudi Arabia and Mozambique respectively in two international friendly games in readiness for the games in November.

He played for over 60 minutes in the 2-2 draw against Saudi Arabia but he wasn’t given a run out in the 3-2 win over Mozambique. It has now been confirmed that injury stopped him from playing in the game two days ago.

According to AC Milan, he picked up a hamstring injury which will keep him out for a month. He will return back to action after the international round of games in November, effectively ruling him out of the Super Eagles games within that period.

For Milan, he will miss the games against Juventus , Napoli , Udinese and Lecce in Serie A, as well as the two matches against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League.

He is expected to return back to action on the 25th of November, when they take on Fiorentina in the Serie A.
