Coalition of Northern groups begin protest in Katsina (Video)

The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) today protested over the kidnap of over 300 students of the Government Science Secondary school in Kankara, Katsina State.

The protesters called on the state and Federal government to immediately rescue the hundreds of students kidnapped from Government Science Secondary School, Kankara in the state.

Led by some national leaders of the group, the protesters carried placards with inscriptions such as “BringBackOurBoys;” “government must speak out;” and “We want our children back” amongst others.

Parents have come out to debunk claims by Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari, that 17 students of Government Secondary School, Kankara, have been found and reunited with their families.

Gov. Masari who spoke in Hausa had earlier stated during an interview with a German radio, Deutsche Welle(DW), that 17 of the abducted students have safely returned with their families.

The parents in an exclusive interview with Arise TV have now debunked the claims, according to them, the parents are in regular contacts with each other, and they are yet to see the return of any student.
