COVID-19 cases in Lagos likely to peak in August

Lagos State Commissioner for health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, has revealed that cases of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in the state is likely to peak in August.

Prof. Akin Abayomi while speaking at a press briefing at the Bagaulto Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa, Lagos said;

“Based on postulations, COVID-19 cases are like to peak next month; we are hoping it peaks soon and the curve eventually gets flattened.”

Lagos state has been recording the highest number of cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) daily in Nigeria and is the state with the highest number of cases since the index case in the country.
