Crystal Palace manager, Patrick Vieira, will face no further action from police after an altercation with a fan following the defeat at Everton on Thursday.

Everton completed a 3-2 comeback win, which led to thousands of fans invading the pitch at full-time.

During that pitch invasion, Vieira appeared to aim a kick at a fan after being taunted by him.

But after an investigation where both Vieira and the fan were spoken to, Merseyside police said “the opportunity to make a formal complaint or support a prosecution was declined.”

Police said they “worked with Everton FC to gather all available CCTV footage and spoke to witnesses.”
