French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon are reportedly weighing up a move for Club Brugge Nigerian forward David Okereke, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Okereke had a very poor season with just four goals to his name but per French publication L’Equipe he is on a shortlist of strikers the club want to sign as replacement for Karl Toko Ekambi who is expected to leave the club this summer.

Ekambi ended the season with 14 goals and seven assists, a form which Lyon want to cash in on and already they have Okereke and two others in Giovanni Simeone and Roger Marti of Cagliari and Levante respectively.

Signed for €8 million two summers ago from Italian side Spezia, he started his stint at the club with a flourish but he has since suffered a calamitous dip in form that has led to his inactivity the past few months.
