Delta State Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Chiedu Ebie and the State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, have tested positive for COVID-19.
The State government while confirming the development on its official Twitter page on Sunday said they have been moved to the isolation center.
It also confirmed that the State on Saturday recorded 83 new cases of the infection.
The State has so far recorded 501 confirmed cases and 19 deaths.
“The Secretary to the State Government of Delta State, Mr. Chiedu Ebie and the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, have tested positive for #COVID19.
“Both officials exhibited mild symptoms of the virus and consequently subjected themselves to the #COVID19 test.
“They have been moved to an isolation centre, are stable, and responding well to treatment.”
