Popular Nollywood Actress, Genevieve Nnaji has taken to her social media page to add her voice to the #ENDSARS campaign as she recounted how her 13-year-old cousin was harassed for carrying her own laptop.
Genevieve made this disclosure in an open letter she wrote to President Buhari.
Part of her open letter reads
My Niece was harrased by SARS for carrying a laptop. Her own laptop.
She was slapped across the face for simply asking why her laptop was
being seized.
At only 13, she had to deal with police brutality. Complaints were made
and nothing was done. No one is spared and we are all affected.
I’m getting weary and tired of being optimistic about change but
even the i can’t complain.
Enough is enough, we are better than this.
