Arsenal will play in the Champions League next season.

Their place as one of England’s flag bearers was confirmed on Wednesday night, despite a 4-1 defeat at Manchester City.

It means Mikel Arteta’s men remain top with 75 points after 33 matches.

However, Brighton’s 3-1 loss at Nottingham Forest means the Gunners are assured of a place among Europe’s elite in the 2023/2024 campaign.

Arsenal’s last Champions League qualification came on the back of finishing as runners-up behind Leicester City in 2015/2016.

Their next Premier League game will be at home against Chelsea.
