Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has named the player that will miss his side’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Monday night.

According to Arteta, midfielder, Granit Xhaka, will not feature against Palace at Emirates Stadium due to injury.

The Spaniard stated this during his pre-match press conference ahead of the clash.

Xhaka was ruled out for three months with a knee injury sustained in Arsenal’s Premier League win against Tottenham last month.

The Switzerland international has been working overtime to get back as soon as possible.

“At the moment, everyone seems to be okay. Granit is progressing really well, but obviously, we know it is a long-term injury, unfortunately, and he’s not going to be available [on Monday night],” Arteta said.

“With Granit, I don’t know, but I’m sure that if you tell him three [months], he will be thinking two. He will be trying to do extra work to try to minimise that time, that’s for sure.”

The kick-off time for Arsenal vs Palace is 8 pm.
