EPL Hall Of Fame Inductee Alan Shearer Salutes Okocha – He Was A Cult Hero At Bolton

English Premier League legend Alan Shearer who was recently inducted into the English Premier League Hall of Fame has mentioned Austin Okocha as one of the ten cult heroes to have ever played in the league.

Okocha according to Shearer was such a delight to watch playing for Bolton Wanderers as he mixed his craft with sublime skills which seems easy to the eyes but not exactly so in execution.

No doubt the Nigerian left a big impression on the former England captain who didn’t hold back superlatives while speaking on the impact the Nigerian had during his four year spell at the Reebok stadium.

The former England striker was asked to list his top 10 Premier League cult heroes as part of the Match of the Day podcast alongside Gary Lineker and Micah Richards.

Shearer said: “ He made the difficult things look easy – I must’ve tried that flicking over heads a million times and it’s never come off once. Gifted, natural ability, superb player.”
