Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku has turned down a transfer to the Saudi Pro League and is ‘annoyed’ with the Blues over their refusal to grant him his ideal move.

Lukaku returned to Inter Milan on loan during the 2022/23 campaign, having fallen out with former Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel.

The Belgium international played a key role in helping Inter Milan reach its first Champions League final in 13 years.

The 30-year-old would ideally like to spend another season at the Nerazzurri, but Chelsea are not keen on sending him out on loan again.

According to The Telegraph, Lukaku is frustrated at Chelsea’s stance, particularly with no other major European club showing an interest in his services at this stage of the transfer window.

Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, meanwhile, is desperate to reduce his squad ahead of the start of pre-season.

Chelsea are keen to resolve the futures of players Pochettino has deemed surplus to requirements before the end of this month to comply with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.
