Former Nigeria U20 winger Yira Sor Collins was the hero of the day for his team Genk as he hit a brace in their 2-2 draw against Gent in a top division game in Belgium, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
All eyes were on fellow Nigerian Gift Orban who is the current top scorer in the Europa Conference League with five goals on the back of his impressive debut where he netted 20 goals in 22 games, however it was the 2019 Nigeria U20 winger Sor who stole the headlines.
Back to full fitness after a battle injury, he fired his first goal in the 21st minute to draw his team level after Tarik Tissoudali gave Gent the lead in the 12th minute.
Sor completed his brace in the 51st minute before getting subbed off for his fellow Nigerian Tolu Arokodare, and was shaping up to be the match winner, he was watching from the bench when Tissoudali drew Gent level with virtually the last kick of the game.
Orban was on for the entire duration of the game but failed to add to his tally of three goals in 13 league games this season. A run that has seen him drop to the bench in the last few games in the league.
