The coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Jose Peseiro has handed a first time call up to at least three players for the upcoming international friendly game against Algeria.

Nigeria will take on the north Africa side in Oran on the 27th of this month with Peseiro expected to make public the list of players called up for the game on Monday. However players have been contacted.

OwnGoalNigeria.com exclusively learnt that one of the new names in the list is Club Brugge of Belgium new signing Raphael Onyedika. The 21 year old famously shunned a move to AC Milan for the Belgian side when he decided to leave Danish side FC Midtjylland.

Peseiro is said to have watched him play for the Danish side and also now at Brugge hence his decision to hand him a chance with the team particularly as they are short in the midfield area. Already an invitation letter has been sent to the Belgium side.

With Oghenekaro Etebo still not able to move to where he can get games following Stoke City’s decision not to register him this season. Onyedika is said to be amomg the options Peseiro is looking at to replace the out of favour midfielder.
