The starting lineup for the senior national team of Nigeria for the friendly game against Mozambique in Portugal has been made known by coach Jose Peseiro, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Peseiro made nine changes to the team that drew 2-2 against Saudi Arabia in their first friendly game. He however stuck with Francis Uzoho in goal despite the howler that handed the opener to Saudi Arabia.

In defence only Bruno Onyemaechi kept his spot at left back with the trio of Tyronne Ebuehi, Calvin Bassey and Semi Ajayi making way for Bright Osayi-Samuel, Jordan Torunarigha and Kenneth Omeruo.

Former Germany youth international defender Torunarigha isn’t the only player who will be making his debut from the start with former Manchester City trainee Fisayo Dele-Bashiru also handed a spot on the flanks.

The Hatayspor of Turkey midfielder will start on the right and not in the middle, where the former FC Ebedei duo of Frank Onyeka and Raphael Onyedika have been picked by coach Peseiro.

Moses Simon has been rewarded with a start for his impressive performance in the second half against Saudi Arabia following his introduction. He starts just like Terem Moffi who was also a substitute on Friday.

Joe Aribo, another substitute on Friday also starts in a role just behind the striker in a 4-4-2 formation like the previous game.
