Exclusive- Super Eagles Starting XI For Cameroon Friendly, Rohr Go 4-2-3-1, No Start For New Players

The coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has released his lineup for today’s friendly game against Cameroon, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Rohr listed most of the players he is familiar with in the starting lineup with no place for any of the new players in the team for the first time.

Maduka Okoye is retained as first choice goalkeeper with the quartet of Shehu Abdullahi, Jamilu Collins, William Troost Ekong and Chidozie Awaziem in front of him as the back four.

Wilfred Ndidi will anchor a two man midfield with Oghenekaro Etebo with Alex Iwobi stationed on the left wing, Moses Simon will play from the right while Kelechi Iheanacho will operate just behind the main striker in Paul Onuachu.

Base on it, the Super Eagles will approach the game with a 4-2-3-1 formation with the hope of breaching the defence of Cameroon which has kept six clean sheets in their last eight games.

Coach of the Nigerian team Gernot Rohr is keen on maintaining his unbeaten record against Cameroon since his appointment in 2016. In three games the Nigerian team has won twice and drawn once.
