Brentford defender Benjamin Fredrick was the only player based abroad named by head coach Ladan Bosso in his 30 man list for the football event of the All African Games will which take place in Ghana, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Bosso will be in charge of the Nigerian U20 team after leading them to a quarter final spot at the last U20 World Cup in Argentina, the coach has kept faith in four players who were at the world cup namely Daniel Bameyi, Daniel Daga, Nathaniel Nwosu and the aforementioned Fredrick.
Fredrick has made the substitute bench in four consecutive straight games for Brentford including three in the English Premier League. He is now seen as a squad player for the first team making a debut for the first team a matter of time.
The 19 year old who is on loan from Simioben Football Academy of Kaduna state earned his rise to the first team after his impressive performances for the U23s of three club.
Three players from the Nduka Ugabade led U17 team who failed to make it to the World Cup where also handed a spot in the team with Emmanuel Micheal leading the duo of Danjuma Lawali and Charles Agada.
All invited players are expected to be in the camp of the team by this weekend, even though the camp officially opens tomorrow.
