GD Chaves Midfielder Confirms Talks With Peseiro On Playing For Super Eagles At AFCON

GD Chaves midfielder Kelechi Nwakali says he is hopeful of making the sqaud of the senior national team of Nigeria to the Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place next year in Cote d’Ivoire, OwnGoalNigeria.comreports.

Nwakali has made 12 appearances for Chaves in the Portuguese top flight with two assists to his name for the team, who are placed 16th on the log in the Portuguese top division.

Last weekend he was voted the man of the match in the 2-1 win over Vizela and afterwards he revealed that the gear coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Jose Peseiro has been checking on his via his assistants.

The 25 year old seems to choose the best time to hit form following his MOTM performance in the Liga Portuguese game vs Vizela only a few days ago.

“The assistant coach of the National team has come to watch, three, four of my games and I spoke to him after one of the garnes.” The GD Chaves midfielder was quoted as saying.

“We spoke at length, and he said they are watching me. So. hopefully I will get an invitation. I am ready to play again for the national team.” Nwakali revealed.
