Dutch giants Ajax and the rest teams chasing 2019 Nigeria U17 star Akinkumi Amoo have been told to shun the idea of signing the 19 year old.

Amoo has emerged as one of the teen stars of the Swedish league with top class performance for Hammarby which is co owned by Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

His performance hasn’t gone unnoticed with Ibrahimovic reportedly using his close ties with Ajax to give them an edge ahead of the likes of Valencia, Atletico Madrid, Leicester City and Borussia Dortmund.

However it appears that plan has now been put on hold with sports director of Hammarby Jesper Jansson confirming that Amoo will remain at the club.

“No, we have nothing concrete there. I know there is a lot of talk but we do not feel any stress with Amoo,” Jansson told fotbolldirekt.se.

“Oh, he is definitely not stressed but we have a very good dialogue about his future.”
