Head coach of German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin Pál Dárdai has launched a scathing attack on out of favour Nigeria international winger Childera Ejuke, OGN reports.

Ejuke took advantage of the FIFA window to suspend his contract with Russian side CSKA Moscow due to the war with Ukraine joining the German side in the summer transfer window on a one year deal.

The move hasn’t worked out as planned with Ejuke struggling to nail a permanent spot in the starting lineup of the team, who are presently bottom of the league and favorite to be relegated to the second division.

Dárdai who replaced Sandro Schwarz four weeks ago is saddled with the task of keeping them up in what is his third spell at the club. He will handled them in six games with the hope of at least getting a relegation play off spot.

Speaking on the players at the club, he didn’t mince words when he was asked about why Ejuke who is seen as the best dribbler in the team isn’t a regular after his return to full fitness. He was out injured for almost three months.

“His problems are difficult to figure out, I would have to work longer with him for that and I don’t have the time. He’s an outstanding footballer, but turns ten times on the spot”, he lamented.

“If he learns to play the pass after 1-2 good offensive tackles, he would be world class because what he has in 1V1 ( one on one contest) no other player here has – I haven’t seen anything like that for a long time. Of course he will also play, we have trust in him.”
