The top of the table clash in the Italian Serie A lived up to expectation with Napoli coming from behind to beat Atalanta 2-1, hence preserving their unbeaten run and also maintaining their position as league leaders.

Atalanta drew first blood with Nigeria international Ademola Lookman concerting superbly from the spot from a penalty conceded by his international teammate Victor Osimhen. Osimhen wasted no time in making atonement for his mistake.

He rose highest to meet a well delivered corner kick to draw his team level and not satisfied he went a step further to act as provider for Elmas to hand his team a 2-1 lead as both teams head for the half time break after the first 45 minutes.

Upon resumption, Lookman who is Atalanta’s top scorer saw his effort came off the bar much to the delight of Osimhen whose goal made him Nigeria’s all time top scorer in the history of the Italian Serie A.

He now has 32 goals, one more than Simy Nwankwo who has 31 goals and with the way he is playing since his return from injury, he is well on course to extend the record further.
