In an emotional 12 minutes clip that surfaced YouTube, awarding-winning singer Waje was seen in a vulnerable state opening up about her music career.
The video started with a series of screenshots of social media users sharing their thoughts on the worrisome state of acceptance of Nigerian artistes that do soul music.
Waje’s name surfaced after a user blamed the poor acceptance of her latest album Red Velvet on misogyny while others argued it was entirely the singer’s fault if the album did not do well.
A video of Waje speaking on her career showed her revealing her belief in music was already taunted and she was tired of making music.
