Senegal star, Sadio Mane, has admitted he was luckier than his Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah in World Cup Qualifiers.

Mane’s Senegal and Salah’s Egypt renewed their rivalry in the second left of their World Cup Qualifying play-off this week, with Senegal prevailing over penalties.

The same outcome took place earlier this season at the African Cup of Nations.

“I won twice and he lost twice, I was luckier to come out on top,” Mane told ONTime Sports, as reported by KingFut.

“I am very proud that we won the Africa Cup of Nations and now qualified for the World Cup, it’s a dream I had.

“I believe it was a difficult game for both teams. Our fans pushed us to win and we didn’t stop fighting.

“We knew the game wouldn’t be easy, but we pressed to score.”
