Zamfara State’s deputy governor, Mani Mummuni, has tasked the military and other security personnel to redouble their efforts in tackling the insecurity situation ravaging the state.

Addressing newsmen in Gusau, the state capital, the deputy governor urged the military and other security operatives not to relent in their efforts to ensure the restoration of peace and tranquillity in the State.

“The residents cannot engage in their legitimate endeavours in an unsecured environment. There is therefore a need for a serious coordinated security network,” he stated.

Mummuni said he had also given the same charge to the management of the Forward Operation Base in Danmarke village, Bukkuyum Local Government Area, when they visited his office.

The deputy governor commended the troops for their quick response in the general area, urging them to redouble their efforts in protecting the villages under their watch.
