Lagos State House of Reps. member, Desmond Elliot, has reacted after he was criticized on social media by some Nigerians who alleged he is supporting an anti-social media bill in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Desmond Elliot is one of the trending names today on Twitter NG and it is due to series of tweets from Nigerians who dragged him after a popular twitter influencer alleged that Desmond was pushing a bill against social media.

They went on to assert that the said social media bill is aimed at enabling Lagos state to easily arrest youths who would continue tweeting about the Lekki Tollgate incident after it might have been passed and enacted.

Sharing the video wherein he debunked the claim, the politician wrote ;

FALSE FALSE FALSE

I never said that
No bill to that effect
No house of Assembly can develop such a bill
