Kwara United’s General Manager, Bashir Badawiy, has urged the players to keep the momentum after they held Bendel Insurance to a 1-1 away draw on Saturday.

The Harmony Boys put up a spirited display in the encounter and nearly came out with a win.

It was an improved performance from Kabiru Dogo’s boys, who lost 1-0 at home to Shooting Stars last weekend.

Mohammed Alao scored for Kwara United, while Deputy Echeta equalised for the home team.

“Yeah, good game, good result, even though we wanted to win but getting a draw here was impressive. We all know Bendel are in a good form this season. To get a draw here is something to be happy about,” Badawiy told the club’s media.

“The players fought very well. After the defeat last week, they needed to get themselves back and they showed determination here today. I want to commend their fighting spirit and urge them to continue like this.”
