Barcelona boss, Ronaldo Koeman, has revealed that his side lost 1-0 against Rayo Vallecano in Wednesday’s away LaLiga tie because the Blaugrana have lost very effective players.

Koeman, who said his team’s level has dropped, also insisted that he doesn’t know if his future with Barcelona is in danger.

Rayo Vallecano defeated Barcelona at home, thanks to a first-half goal from Radamel Falcao.

The defeat to Rayo means Barcelona have now lost their last two consecutive LaLiga matches, having lost 2-1 to bitter rival Real Madrid last weekend.

“I don’t know if my future is in danger,” Ronald Koeman said post-match in comments carried by Marca.

“We have players with goals in them. [Sergio] Aguero, [Memphis] Depay.

“It was difficult for us to get into the game, they put a lot of pressure on us. We’ve been superior. The result isn’t fair, but it’s there and we can’t change it.

“The game we lost today isn’t a problem of attitude or play. The team’s level has dropped. We’ve lost very effective players, which also counts.”
