Wilfred Ndidi won’t be available for the senior national team of Nigeria when they play their final round of the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.
Ndidi missed the Super Eagles back to back games against Central Africa Republic (CAR) during the last round on international games and per the words of his coach Brendan Rodgers, he won’t be available for the teams final round of qualifiers next month.
The midfield enforcer is currently out injured and won’t be back until after the international break effectively ruling him out of the games against Liberia and Cape Verde respectively.
“He’ll probably join the group, I would say, in the next international break,” he said. “Over the course of this section of games, he probably won’t be available. We’re hoping that by then he’ll be back.”
Meanwhile Alex Iwobi of Everton is prime for a return after coming through unscathed in their 0-1 defeat against West Ham yesterday. His presence was baldy missed by the Nigerian team as they struggled to get going against CAR especially in the first game which they lost 0-1 in Lagos.
