Robert Lewandowski has admitted that his situation at Bayern Munich “is not that easy”, as the speculation surrounding the striker’s future continues to gather pace.

The Poland international’s contract at Allianz Arena is due to expire next June, and the two parties are due to meet soon to hold discussions over an extension.

Lewandowski could allegedly be sold this summer if he does not pen a new deal, with the German champions said to be open to offers of €40m (£33m) if that proves to be the case.

Barcelona continue to be linked with the 33-year-old, who has scored 48 goals and registered six assists in 43 appearances for Bayern during the 2021-22 campaign.

Lewandowski has said that “nothing special has happened so far” regarding his future, and he has suggested that a move away during this summer’s transfer window is possible.

“There will be a meeting soon, but nothing special has happened so far. I also notice what’s going on. The situation is not that easy for me,” Lewandowski told Sky Deutschland.

The striker has scored 342 goals and registered 71 assists in 372 appearances for Bayern since making the move from Borussia Dortmund in 2014.
