Ligue 1: Jerome Akor hits brace on Montpellier debut

Nigeria’s Jerome Akor netted a brace on his competitive debut as Montpellier were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Le Havre at the Stade de la Mosson-Mondial 98 on Sunday.

The former Flying Eagles forward recently sealed a move to Montpelier from Norwegian club Lillestrom.

The visitors took the lead through Gautier Lloris in the fifth minute, but Akor restored parity for the home team two minutes before the hour mark.

The 23-year-old then gave Montpellier the lead for the first time in the game two minutes later.
He was replaced by Elye Wahi in the 77th minute.
Samuel Grandsir equalised for Le Havre in stoppage time.
