‘Little Josh’ wins a ‘Battle of the Joshes’ to keep his name

Five year old Little Josh has emerged as the winner of the “Josh fight” involving other people named Josh.

The battle of the Josh started as a joke during the pandemic but evolved into a viral fight as hundreds of people named Josh gathered in Lincoln, Nebraska, to battle it out over their shared name.

The founder of the fight named Josh Swain, is a 22 year old Arizona college student who sent a Facebook message last April to dozens of other people who shared his first and last name.


The message reads, “You’re probably wondering why I’ve gathered you all here today,” Then he a random date, April 24, 2021, and instructions to “meet at these coordinates.”

Swain also added, “We fight, whoever wins gets to keep the name, everyone else has to change their name, you have a year to prepare, good luck.”

According to the student, the whole fight was a joke not until some of his friends brought it up again and he decided to hold the event.

 

Surprisingly, hundreds of Josh came to the battle ground to defend their name with the the pool noodles that Swain invited people to bring.

The Josh fighters were seen wearing different customs from Spider-Man, Star Wars-themed costumes etc. People who weren’t nearing the name “Josh “ also came out support their fighters with sign support that reads, “I’m with Josh, love Josh and Go Josh”

At the end of the fight, five year old little Josh was crowned the ultimate winner and was presented with a Burger King crown and trophy.
