Curtis Jones has joined the list of players of Nigerian origin plying their trade for England at international level after his girlfriend revealed his Nigerian roots in a picture on Instagram.
20 years old Jones is an England youth international seen by many as a future player for the senior national team but he can now also dream of playing for Nigeria .
Jones bears the surname of his mother Sandra Jones with the identity of his father one that is unknown to many. He has mixed origin and it could probably be he is of Nigerian descent.
His confirmation of his roots means he is eligible for Nigeria as he is yet to play for England at senior level in a competitive game. Playing for Nigeria looks unlikely though as England will definitely put up a fight to keep a player regarded as one of the best emerging teens from the Liverpool youth setup.
