Remo Stars defender Issah Ali won’t be part of the squad of the senior national team of Nigeria for the upcoming friendly games against Mexico and Ecuador respectively in the United States of America.

Alli has been banned by the Ghana Football Association for his role in the match manipulation scandal between Ashanti Gold and Inter Allies in the Ghana top flight league.

The 21 year old was Ali was said to have shunned a summon by the GFA to state his part in the case. He was named among those culpable in the match fixing scandal hence the summon which he didn’t honour.

He has been handed a two-year ban after the Ghana Football Association ruling which has ultimately cost him his position in the Nigerian National team after receiving his debut call up as part of the 30 man squad for the friendly games in the United States of America.
