Coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has once again showed his faith in Genk striker Paul Onuachu, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Onuachu had a terrible game for Nigeria in the 0-1 friendly loss to Algeria leading Rohr to shun him for the second friendly game which ended in a 1-1 draw against Tunisia.

Despite his axing for the Tunisian game, the 26 year old has kept his spot in the squad for the back to back AFCON 2021 qualifiers games against Sierra Leone next month.

Rohr’s faith in the lanky forward is echoed by other members of the technical crew who are not bothered by the criticism coming the way of the forward as they believe he will come good.

Although other players like Josh Maja, Terim Moffi and Cyriel Dessers have caught the eyes of the coach he has decided to stick with the trio of Victor Osimhen, Kelechi Iheanacho and Onuachu as his preferred trio for the Sierra Leone game.
