Victor Osimhen has been handed a fine of two weeks wages for what was presume as recklessness on his part leading to him testing positive for coronavirus.

A video of the 22 year old celebrating his birthday in Nigeria last week with a large crowd with no respect for social distance despite the fact that they weren’t wearing face masks angered the club.

The fine on him is as a result of not respecting the guidelines of the club on conduct of players in this period when the world is trying to curb the spread of the virus that has hit second wave.

Coach of the team Gennaro Gattuso is furious with the club record signing over the careless act which has now put his return from a shoulder injury on hold for another two weeks.

Napoli were warming up to having him back in the team against Cagliari on Sunday for the first time since he picked up a shoulder injury while on international duty with Nigeria but they now have to wait longer.
