NCC gives telecommunications operator two weeks to block sim cards that are not registered with NIN

The Nigerian Communications Commission has given local telecommunications operators a deadline to block all sims who are yet to be registered with the National identify numbers (NIN).

Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmed wrote on twitter ;

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has given telecommunications operators (MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9Mobile and others) in the country two weeks to block all SIM cards that are not registered with the National Identity Numbers (NIN), the Commission has said in a statement.

He also said in a rejoinder tweet ;

That will definitely help to curtail and checkmate the lingering security challenges in some part of the country.
