37 teams set for Volleyball invitational

Ahead of the 2022 African U19 Women’s Volleyball Championship, the head coach Elishama Sham has named 14 players that will represent Nigeria, BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.

The team has been in camp at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna for the past six weeks under the tutelage of Elishama and the newly appointed technical adviser of the federation Alexander Boskovic from Serbia.

While speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) the coach said the players are ready to make the country proud in the competition.

“After six weeks of preparations, we are ready for the 2022 Girls’ Under 19 African Nations Volleyball Championship. The girls have been active throughout this year.

“Some of them played at the National Division 1 League; others played in several invitational championships, including beach championship,” he told NAN.

The competition will serve off on Tuesday at the MKO stadium in Abuja.
