Nigeria U20 midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi has agreed a move to German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen from Bulgarian side Botev Plovdiv, OwnGoalNigeria.com understands.

According to Plovdivderby.com, the defensive midfielder will join the German side in January when the transfer window opens but no mention was made on the transfer fee involved.

In the summer, a high profile move to an unnamed French Ligue 1 side believed to be Lens fell through, with both teams failing to reach an agreement on the fee involved.

A fee of €3m was what was said to be the fee the Bulgarian side were demanding for him in the summer, but it’s not clear if they held on to their valuation in his reported transfer to the German side.

A member of the Nigeria U20 team to the U20 World Cup, he played five of Nigeria’s games at the tournament before they crash out in the quarter final.
