The week of Victor Ehuwa Eletu ended on a sound note as he assisted and also scored in his debut game for AC Milan just two days after he officially signed professional terms with the Italian gjants.
17 year old Eletu, a graduate from the Milan school of football took the chance of playing in front of the first team manager Stefano Pioli with both hands by helping them secure a win against Serie D side Lumezzane.
He started with an assist before grabbing a goal of his own in the test game meant to put the players in shape ahead of the return to club football which was paused due to the World Cup in Qatar.
Ironically, this season for the youth team where he has earned plaudit and even rose to the position of one of the captains of the team he hasn’t found the back of the net in 17 games in all competitions namely the youth league, Coppa Italia and UEFA Youth League.
Already his form has caught the attention of the coach of the Nigeria U20 team Ladan Bosso, who told OwnGoalNigeria.com that he is among the players based abroad he wants to add to his team in January.
Nigeria will travel to Egypt for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations with Eletu expected to add steel to the midfield if AC Milan agrees to allow the Lagos born teen honour the call up when it comes.
