Rivers United head coach Evans Ogenyi has commended his players for their display in defeat against Lobi Stars.
The Pride of Rivers suffered a 3-2 defeat at the Lafia City Stadium on Wednesday.
Lobi Stars got their goals through Samuel Tiza, Alao Danbani and Suur Kumaga.
Ukeme Williams and Mark Gibson scored to reduce the deficit for Rivers United.
Ogenyi stated that his team didn’t deserve to lose the game.
“The result isn’t a true reflection of what happened in the game,” he said in a post-match interview.
“I give kudos to my boys they displayed a
good football artistry against Lobi Stars.”
Rivers United dropped to 16th position on the table following the defeat.
