Egypt national team right-back Omar Kamal will be officially missing in the Africa Cup of Nations finale against Senegal due to yellow card accumulation suspension.

Omar started the Africa Cup of Nations journey with Egypt on the bench, as Al Ahly’s Akram Tawfik was the starting right-back.

However, after an opening game long-term injury, Akram was no longer an option for the Egyptian national team.

As a result, Queiroz had to replace Tawfik, and his first choice for the mission was none other than Omar Kamal.

Kamal quickly became a fan favorite, putting on impressive shows against African football titans like Morocco, Ivory Coast, and Cameroon.

Unfortunately, the 28-year-old won’t be able to participate with the Pharaohs in their next and last game of the tournament against Senegal due to yellow card accumulation.

The right-back received his first yellow card against Morocco in the quarter-finals, before being handed the second one in the Cameroon clash in the semi-finals, resulting in his one-game suspension.
