Paul Onuachu scored his 23rd league goal of the season but ended up on the losing side as his team Genk lost 1-3 to KV Oostende in the Belgium top division.

Onuachu opened scoring in the 10th minute from the spot to take his goal count to 24 in all competitions this season but it wasn’t enough for his side to claim all three points.

The loss saw his side lose further ground on runaway leaders Anderlecht and second place Antwerp as they continue their quest to play European football next season.

28 year old Onuachu is however having the best season of his career as he is clearly leading the quest to be top scorer with five goals more than his closest challenger Thomas Henry of OH Leuven.
