Osimhen is Africa’s third most expensive player after Napoli move

Super Eagles attacker, Victor Osimhen has emerged Africa’s third most expensive player in Africa after completing a 50m euro move to Napoli from French Ligue 1 side, Lille on Friday.

This was disclosed by transfer market reporter, Gianluca Di Marzio.

Osimhen is behind Nicolas Pepe who cost Arsenal 80m euros and Cedric Bakambu who was sold to Chinese club Beijing Guoan for 72.7m euros.

Pépé, who was born in France to parents of Ivorian descent and made his debut for the Ivory Coast on 15 November 2016 in a friendly against France.

Bakambu on the other hand was a French youth international and represented the country at both under-18 and under-19 level. In March 2015, he opted to represent DR Congo at the senior level.
