His time at Ajax was blighted with criticisms leading to his departure one year after he joined the team in from Scottish side Rangers.
Speaking ahead of this weekend game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Silva praised the improvement of the former Leicester City youth team player who was signed in the summer from Dutch giants Ajax.
” He has really grown into what we expected when he was signed and he is still improving in certain areas. The experience of playing in a senior international tournament has also worked for his development, the level he is playing now is down to playing at a tournament”, the coach said.
