Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have said their I Dos!

Before they walked down the aisle, the couple held yet another traditional pre-wedding ceremony which is called ‘Mehendi’.

A Mehendi ceremony is a Hindu wedding rite that typically happens one or two days before the wedding. In a typical Mehendi ceremony, all of the women in the bride and groom’s families, along with close friends, gather together while the bride has elaborate henna designs applied to her hands and feet

The newlyweds shared photos on their Instagram pages from the ceremony with the caption:

One of the most special things our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi.

Once again we made it our own and it was an afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed.

For the ceremony, Priyanka wore a 48-multipanelled organdy sherwani embellished in silk detailing with two organza layered drapes. While Nick wore a pale pistachio green/aqua Banarasi cotton Bakhiya kurta, embellished in embroidery.
