Rita Ora and Jude Law’s son Rafferty have reportedly called time on their romance after three months of dating.
It was reported in December that the 29-year-old singer and Rafferty, the 23-year-old son of Jude and ex-wife Sadie Frost, had hit it off while filming new Oliver! adaptation Twist, and they appeared to confirm the rumours later that month as they left the London Fashion Awards hand-in-hand.
However, it seems the pair’s differing locations – with Rita in Los Angeles as she recovers from tonsil surgery, while Rafferty is in London – led to them “drifting apart” and eventually deciding to split.
“Rita really got on with Raff on set and they had great chemistry,” a source close to the singer told Britain’s The Sun newspaper. “They grew close while they were both working in London, although they were just taking each day as it came and weren’t in a rush to label anything or move too quickly.
“But Rita has spent so long out of the country now and they’re not talking as much as they were, let alone doing the things couples do when they’re together.”
The insider added that while the romance is currently on pause, there’s every chance it might be reprised in the future.
“Things are on ice until they’re back in the same country,” the source added. “They might pick up again then, but at the moment they are more like friends.”
The Hot Right Now singer stars as Dodge in Twist, while Rafferty takes on the lead role of Oliver. It’s the first major acting role for the young star, who has previously found fame in the modelling industry – landing campaigns for big names such as DKNY.
