The coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has arrived Jos, the capital of Plateau state for the CAF Champions League game between Plateau United and Simba of Tanzania.
Rohr is in the city to assess the Nigerian team and possibly identify players who can represent the country in games as he bids to add home based players to his team.
He will travel alongside Austin Eguavoen, the newly appointed Technical Director of the NFF and also Ahmed “Fresh” Yusuf who is the head of the Technical Department of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF).
Other members of the technical department of the NFF in Garba Lawal and Paul Aigbogun will also be part of the team for the trip in Jos. The game will be played behind close doors.
Plateau United will be eyeing a better campaign than last time out in the same tournament where they fail to go past this stage of the tournament. In Simba they face a team that has the potential to pick a result away from home.
