Sadiq Umar Expected To Seal Transfer To Lille As Osimhen’s Replacement Next Week

The top scorer for Nigeria at the 2016 Rio Olympics Sadiq Umar will next week make a decision on moving from Partizan Belgrade to French Ligue 1 side Lille, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Umar has offers from as many as 16 teams with 26 teams showing interest after the forward ended his first season in Serbia with 17 goals and 17 assists in all competitions this season .

Prior to yesterday’s game , the 22 year old cleared his locker in the dressing room of the team and even told his teammates he might not play for the team again after last night final.

His plan of leaving the team on a high was however scuttled when his team were beaten on penalties in the Serbian Cup final by Vovojdina after a 2-2 draw even after extra time. Sadiq got the assist for the goal that helped his team draw level.

Lille are reportedly in front of other teams in the race to sign the forward who is valued at €15 million by Partizan Belgrade six months after they made his loan move from Roma permanent for a fee of around €1.75 million.

At Lille he is expected to replace another Nigerian in Victor Osimhen who is expected to join Serie A side Napoli before the end of the current transfer window for a fee of around €50 million.
