The Egyptian attended the Football Writers’ Association awards on Thursday night, where he picked up Player of the Year, and was spotted sitting alongside some of the Anfield hierarchy, leading to plenty of speculation from fans.
Liverpool are keen to tie him down and are willing to raise his salary, but are also wary of smashing a wage structure that has been so successful for so many years.
